Natives for Natives

Our Project

We are a local student group committed to environmental restoration through the reintroduction of native plant species. We also aim to educate the community about the numerous benefits of planting natively, which include reduced erosion and natural disasters, improved soil quality, efficient water use, reduced need for chemicals, healthier food webs, and increased resistance to invasive species. We are Natives for Natives, and we are here to help plants and people thrive in a sustainable, symbiotic relationship.

A) Organize shifts at local restoration sites and mobilize students and community members to volunteer.
B) Spread information about native plant restoration and distribute native plant seeds through educational outreach events.
C) Build sustainable partnerships with local organizations to ensure future student volunteer opportunities.
D) Publish a comprehensive native plant species index as a resource for the community.
